During the shoot earlier, Sid and Russ were talking about digicams. I was intently reading "The House that Crack Built", when I heard 'Canon G10'. My head snapped up and turned around. Then Sid showed off his latest pics taken with his 2-day old Panasonic Lumix LX3. The black and white shots were GORGEOUS! After a few more discussion points, we were both convinced.
Despite Chewy's neg review, Russ and I agreed that, coming from users themselves, the ayes outnumbered the nays (sorry Chew, but I still am a great fan of your work, grabe!). I hesitated slightly, thinking that I can just wait it out till my HK trip next weekend (yahoo!), but Russ swayed my decision again with points like "Hardly a big price difference," and "Insurance when buying it here." Then Sid enthused that he got a great package for a song. All that good news (plus Juned's input yesterday) was enough. The decision was forged.
So later today, Russ and I will hie off to shop for our LX3s. Sid will be there for support and vouch for our discount, yay!!
Oh--Anyone here rooting for the Canon G10 please? I still have about 12 hours to change my mind :-)
