A new toy store opens in Manila!

A couple of nights ago, Jayvee F. shared to me that he got to browse in a totally different toy store that was just about to open on Sat, Oct. 25 2008 (yesterday). I was slightly amused because it seemed rather unusual to attend a toy store's pre-opening (maybe I couldn't totally relate because I'm not a mom yet, haha).

Of all the giant toy stores we already have here (I already get slightly dizzy with the selection at Rustan's, moreso Toy Kingdom), he said that what makes Pocketful of Kids distinct from your regular store is that they carry toys THAT NO OTHER TOY STORE HERE SELLS (quick thought: How'd they check out each and every store?!). And and and, it's NOT found in a mall, but...get this: they're in an OFFICE BUILDING (*mouth-gaping*).

Now THAT caught my attention! I was hooked, so I added "Pocketful of Kids" to my mental checklist of new things to check out. Even their store hours follow office hours, haha.

My Bucket List v.1

One of the movies that made me shed a gazillion tears was The Bucket List, starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. Here's my initial list of things I want to achieve before I finally 'kick the bucket':

1. Get happily married to The One.
2. Climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower
3. Have 2 beautiful God-centered kids.
4. Bungee-jump in Macau
5. Learn conversational French.
6. Live in some exotic country like Dubai, Johannesburg or Tanzania for at least 3 years.
7. Open my own successful restaurant (chain).
8. Design and retail my own jewelry line (ok, maybe this is easier than the resto)
9. Collect the works of at least 2 great national artists and 1 classic international painter

10. Design my dream house (single detached house ok? Not just a condo unit)

Give me a few more days to add to this rather short one.

I cannot believe...

...that it's already October.

The year has practically whizzed by. And strangely, I still recall the things that have happened to me since the 1st quarter... like they were just yesterday. Normally I get so entangled with my calendar that previous months (even weeks!) become fuzzy.

But the past 9 months are crystal clear.

BTW, another earthquake of magnitude 5.3 hit Mindoro at around 2am kanina. Third one to hit in less than a week.
