Just when i was dissing Friendster in favor of Multiply, and deemed Facebook a waste of time cuz of its juvenile and crazy apps, I've had some experiences that made me re-think my move.
Once, a friend texted asking for help sourcing a resource speaker for Standard Chartered Bank. Since she needed someone with a sort of celeb calibre, Carelle came to mind, since she works with Anthony Pangilinan for talks and conventions. Unfortunately Carelle's number vanished along with my lost cell last November. Without blinking, my first suggestion was to have her "connect" to Carelle thru my Friendster! All she had to do was tell her i referred her...
Geez, i'm a member of 4 online communities, but my Friendster network tops the list with my nearly 600 connects. Of course its because i've been using it for 5 yrs! Admittedly, i've been able to re-connect with alot of friends from school.
So, there is merit in keeping my Friendster alive.
